Mark, I wonder if anyone managed to go to this concert. Tickets - $3.00 - Wow! I remember seeing Joni Mitchell at Tanglewood on a camp trip, and Peter, Paul and Mary. And some of my counselors in 1969 made it to Woodstock! - Caren
I remember this concert vividly! I was so amazed we were actually able to go. As it turned out, it was these bands' tune up for Woodstock, which would be a week or so later.
How about the poster, though. Pretty plain wrap for such a "groovy" show.
Electricity buzzed the air that night. I have a vague recollection that BB King was there too. Didn't know until years later that the thick pungent smell that wafted through the camp was reefer. Sue Wilson was our counselor. She rocked that summer. Pure magic. Leslie Felsher Elefant
